Old Down Bumble Bees Talk – Old Down Hall August 23^rd 7.30pm

Chris Rose and Stewart Broadbent are both Kempshott beekeepers who have been surveying bees on Old Down this year. Chris is going to give a talk titled ‘Bumblebees on Old Down’ at Old Down Hall. There will be a small charge of £1 to cover the cost of refreshments. This will be based on a photographic record of the bees seen, with reference to the type of bee and their foraging preferences and the difficulties of identifying them reliably. There will be few observations about honey bees but this is not a talk about beekeeping but a celebration of the bees on Old Down.
